Havas’ near-term science-based emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative

Havas has reached an important milestone in its climate journey with the validation of its near-term science-based emissions reduction targets by Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) Services. SBTi is the leading global organization that assesses and validates corporate emissions reduction targets against climate science.

These validated targets establish emissions-reduction objectives for 2030 and 2035, providing a robust framework to guide progress across the Group’s operations and value chain. Progress towards these targets will be driven through a combination of operational emissions reductions, increased sourcing of renewable electricity, engagement with suppliers and other stakeholders and continued efforts to reduce emissions across Havas’ value chain, with progress reported through Havas’ regular sustainability and corporate reporting.

Sustainability is a core pillar of Havas’ strategy, and an integral part of how the Group creates long-term value for its clients, people and stakeholders. This validation marks an important step in Havas’ decarbonization journey and reflects its commitment to aligning its actions with the Paris Agreement while continuing to strengthen how it measures and reduces greenhouse gas emissions across its global network.

The validation also reflects Havas’ commitment to supporting clients in their sustainability transformation. By combining creativity, innovation, and strategic expertise, the Group helps clients find solutions that create long-term value and contribute to a more sustainable future.

"
Businesses have an important role to play in addressing climate change. The validation of our near-term science-based emissions reduction targets is an important recognition of the work underway across Havas’ to reduce our emissions. It also provides a clear framework for the years ahead as we continue to take responsibility for driving progress and delivering emissions reductions across our operations and value chain.

Chairman and CEO, Havas
